Desert Edge Story

On January 11, 1997, Desert held the first official church service in Huntington City Hall.  The beginning of Desert Edge’s history was built on God’s faithfulness to the Scriptures and full devotion to serving Christ in Emery and Carbon County.  As we continued to grow and study God’s Word, it became increasingly clear that Desert Edge needed a larger place to gather.  We moved to the Huntington Senior Citizen building.  After 6 months 40 prayerful, passionate people determined together to build a church building on the property where we meet today, 500 South Main, Hungtington, Utah.

April 11, 1999, Desert Edge held the first worship service in the new building.  Since 1999 we have been intentionally ministering to the people of Carbon and Emery Counties.  We are still a group of friends that meet together, prayerfully serve God, study His Word, and are passionate about loving God and the people in our community.  It is our hope because we choose to live faithfully as God’s people, that long after we are gone we would have an impact on His Kingdom that would be seen for generations to come.

Deuteronomy 6:5
